Why vendor comparisons rank first on Google The mechanics of how a vendor reviewing its own competitor outranks independent coverage - and what buyers can do about it. June 2, 2026.
The hidden cost of thin reviews What our respondents said happens after they trust a thin review: wasted spend, re-purchases, and a whole second buying cycle. July 21, 2026.
AI engines inherit our biases When AI search cites vendor-run comparison pages, the vendor's bias becomes the machine's answer. August 30, 2026.

How we write these

Every insight post traces its claims to our report data or to documented public sources. We write them short on purpose: 250-350 words, one argument, one takeaway. When an insight needs more room, it becomes a report instead. The full-length studies live on the reports page.

Between reports

Insight posts are how our findings reach working buyers faster than the quarterly cycle. Each one takes a single finding from a report or from our ongoing mention collection and makes it actionable in three minutes of reading. If a post cannot survive without its data, it does not publish.

Reading order

New here? Start with why vendor comparisons rank first for the mechanics of the problem, then the hidden cost of thin reviews for what it costs buyers, and finish with AI engines inherit our biases for where the problem is heading. Then read the reports the posts cite: the Buyer Trust Report first, the Stacking Study second.
