Marcus Oyelaran, Survey Methodologist

Marcus runs the fieldwork, the weighting, and the significance testing. He holds an MSc in survey statistics.

Marcus is a statistician specializing in B2B panel research. He has fielded surveys for fintech, HR tech, and martech buyers since 2018, and joined PR Signal Research at founding to build its fieldwork pipeline: panel recruitment, screening, speeder detection, attention checks, and post-stratification weighting to industry team-size distributions.

His rule for every figure we publish: if it cannot be traced to a documented method, it does not go in the report. The methodology page describes the controls he runs on every study.

On the record

"Weighting cannot fix a biased frame. It can correct team-size representation; it cannot conjure respondents who never saw the survey invitation. That is why our limitations sections are longer than most studies' marketing copy." - on limitations.

"A figure without its n is a rumor with decimals." - on reporting standards.

What he checks

Every release passes Marcus's review: sample frame against target population, weighting variables against their benchmarks, completion-rate thresholds, speeder and attention-check exclusions, and the honesty of the limitations section. A study that cannot clear all five does not publish, regardless of how interesting its numbers are.

Fields he has fielded

Before PR: buyer-behavior surveys in fintech (payment tooling adoption), HR tech (recruiting stack consolidation), and martech (attribution tooling trust). The throughline: B2B categories where the buying decision is made on thin evidence, which is precisely where rigorous sampling changes the answer.
